Kreator — Mille Petrozza: interview background

What the surviving evidence establishes

Mille Petrozza spoke to Pyro on 20 July 2006, ahead of Kreator’s return to Australia. Touring for Enemy of God had left little room to begin another album, and he wanted to wait for inspiration rather than work to an imposed deadline. A DVD edition of the record, with a surround mix and video material, was then nearing completion.

The interview also revisited Renewal, Cause for Conflict, Outcast and Endorama. Petrozza treated those experiments as part of the band’s development, even while hearing things he might have changed about their production. Questions about melody, Ventor’s live vocals and the choice of older songs put the band’s current touring cycle beside its earlier catalogue. ^[1]

The references identify the original page or a dated publication that attributes material to PyroMusic. A capture date is an archive observation, and a later news report has its own publication date; neither should silently replace the original interview date. ^{[2] [3] [4]}
