What the surviving evidence establishes
Tom G. Warrior spoke to Pyro on 28 May 2007 as Celtic Frost prepared to visit Australia. Asked about the band’s beginnings, he placed heavy metal and new wave side by side: Black Sabbath, Angel Witch and Venom were part of the picture, alongside Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Christian Death.
That openness also shaped the discussion of Monotheist. Fischer described financing and producing the album independently before licensing it, preserving control over its music and presentation. More writing and video projects were underway, but another Celtic Frost album remained uncertain. The recovered conversation records those possibilities in 2007, rather than confirming what followed. Read the sources in context
The references identify the original page or a dated publication that attributes material to PyroMusic. A capture date is an archive observation, and a later news report has its own publication date; neither should silently replace the original interview date. [2]
