What the surviving evidence establishes
Max Cavalera’s PyroMusic conversation linked the activity around Cavalera Conspiracy with a separate Soulfly recording. A report dated 16 April 2008 preserved his comments about Conquer, including mixing in England with Andy Sneap and passages developed with musicians in Egypt.
He also discussed Blood Fire War Hate and its collaboration with Morbid Angel vocalist David Vincent. The original address carries Cavalera Conspiracy’s name, but this excerpt is about Soulfly’s record. Keeping the two projects distinct makes the historical recording story easier to follow. [1]
