What the surviving evidence establishes
Spiritech spoke with Switchblade drummer Mat Picco on 17 September 2007 for a Festival of the Dead special. The band was working on its second album, balancing writing with shows, lineup changes and day jobs. Picco said the new material had been written with two guitarists from the outset, unlike most of the debut.
He also looked back at independently releasing The End of All Once Known as a practical education in the music business. The festival discussion placed Switchblade alongside a broader Australian scene, with local bands receiving a wider share of major support slots. Album and performance plans in this conversation belong to 2007. [1]

The references identify the original page or a dated publication that attributes material to PyroMusic. A capture date is an archive observation, and a later news report has its own publication date; neither should silently replace the original interview date. [2]
